Marshalled Workshops

We are lucky enough at Mulberry Marine Experiences to have access to shore diving at Selsey that offers something for everyone. Located less than 5 minutes from the Dive Centre, the Selsey Lifeboat Station Dive is a shallow shore dive, known for its biodiversity. Selsey is located in West Sussex and sits within the Selsey Bill and Hounds Marine Conservation Zone, which includes the Mixon Hole.

Our Marshalled Workshops are designed for those divers who need a little more assistance than offered on our Marshalled Shore Dives. They can also function as practical refresher if you have had a break from diving. 

How do you know if these are they right for you?

We would ask the following questions - have you ever dived in the sea in the UK? If this is your first UK sea dive then the workshop will be perfect. 

Have you ever dived without a leader or Instructor? Are you looking to take that next step? These workshops are designed to help you make the transition. 

It has been over a year since my last dive? When we take a break from diving we just need to ensure that our skills are good to go.  These workshops are a practical refresher that end with you having a dive!*

We will arrange to meet you a few hours before the dive. You will work with members of the Mulberry team to prepare and plan your dive. We will cover a full safety briefing, considerations for your planning, DSMB and reel practical and be on hand to answer any questions. You will enter the water under the guidance of your Professional and after a weight check you will descend in a confined spot just off the beach to conduct a skill circuit. At the end of the circuit we will demonstrate and then get you to deploy your DSMB. 

At this point we will leave you and as a buddy pair you can conduct the dive plan you agreed. We remain to provide surface cover during your dive.  It is not necessary to have a buddy to join a Marshalled Workshop as we are often contacted by other single divers and will match you up. We are equally happy to provide this service for buddy pairs. 

The cost is £75 per person.

 *for longer breaks we reserve the right to request a full refresher.
