Service Description
The SSI Explorers program allows children starting at age six to experience and sample the different ways they can explore the aquatic world around them. They will gain a solid foundation in ocean conservation and have the opportunity to experience four main aquatic adventures: snorkeling, scuba diving (coming soon), freediving, and swimming like a real mermaid. In addition we hold sessions focused on water safety, comfort and confidence building. Sessions are held monthly in a heated pool, and in the summer we take the fun out on the beach - weather and conditions allowing. Each month the focus will change so you are welcome to contact us to see what the Explorers will be covering that month. The age limit varies on what we are offering so snorkel, water safety, comfort and monofin swimming for 6+, SCUBA (coming later this year) 8+ and freediving 10+.You do not need to worry about age when you boolk them in, the Mulberry Marine Experience team will check ages and ensure the session is appropriate for them. They need to be comfortable in water and able to swim 20 metres without any swimming aids. If they need help reaching this milestone reach out and we will be happy to help. Mulberry will provide all the equipment needed for the sessions, but you are welcome to bring fins, masks and snorkels are appropraite if you have them. We will emial you the sessions details ahead of time so you know what to expect. All participants are required to complete medical paperwork for their safety and some activities like SCUBA require more indepth forms. Do I need to commit to set number of sessions? No the options are modular so you can dip in and out as suits you. Each session is priced individually and we limit the maximum number of particpants to six. Where do you run the pool sessions? In a heated private pool located in the heart of Selsey How long is each session? They will have 45 minutes in water but the sessions are advertised as an hour for briefings etc. My child wants to learn to snorkel, freedive or SCUBA will these sessions help? Absolutely they will lay solid foundations for courses as they become old enough to complete training.

Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable deposit of £150 is to be paid at the time of booking or the full balance if less than £150. Any course/experience balances are to be settled fourteen days prior to the start of your course either in person or via the invoice with payment link sent to your directly. All course prices quoted are for a minimum class size of two to four depending on the course. We are happy to confirm before you book. You can opt for 1:1 training but this will incur additional costs. Course prices are for a set number of hours or sessions, any sessions required beyond this will be charged by the hour. Payment will be required in full before the session can take place. You agree to complete all independent/home study as required and specified by us, including reading, reviews and where appropriate online exams before your scheduled academic sessions and workshops. If you have not completed the required independent/home study you will be charged for any additional sessions that will be needed as a result, to avoid disruption to your fellow students. You agree to leave full days free for your training. Your timetable provides guide times for activities, but Open Water Sessions do not run to strict timings. You agree to be well rested prior to attending any training. If we deem you unfit to take part in any course/experience we charge for a repeat day of instruction or cancel your experience with no refunds. You may cancel a Mulberry training course by submitting written notice via e-mail or letter - no verbal cancellations are accepted. Please see below for notice periods etc. The deposit paid is non-refundable and the balance of the course is subject to the following cancellation fees based on the full cost of the course at the time of booking: Cancelled with more than 30 days before scheduled commencement no further payments are necessary. If you made payment in full at the time of booking, we would refund the balance less the deposit to you by the same method as it was originally paid. Cancelled with less than month but more than 14 days before the scheduled commencement a 50% cancellation fee will be required from you, equivalent to the full course price less any deposit paid Cancelled with less than 14 days before the scheduled commencement you will be liable for the full cost of the course/event/activity at the price agreed at the time of booking.
