  • SWIM Beginner

The SSI Beginner programme is made up of three levels to suit beginners and those moving up from Preschool. The SSI SWIM model focuses on building water confidence, safety skills and technique over distance. Classes are arranged in age groups through Aquatike, Preschool, and Beginner with staged progression to make moving up easy. The SSI Beginner programme covers a wider range of ages with classes arranged by ability. They will be between 5 and 15 years of age with the skills levels required reflecting the increased physical capabilities of your child at this stage. If these are their first lessons your SWIM teacher will work to establish trust with your child. They are always in the water, and we only have three students to a teacher. The goal is always to make lessons fun at any age but now classes will focus on skill practice and drills to grow confidence, strength, safety awareness, and allow for them to excel. Every child is an individual and the classes are tailored to match your child’s needs. They might be cautious or very confident, either way we work with them, so they develop at their own pace. We make all our classes inclusive and open to everyone, but if you have an aspect you would like to talk through just email us to discuss.
